⏪ DevRel Uni X Space Recap
In case you missed July’s X Space, we have Jay who summed it up! Read it over here.
🔉Recent X Space Recording
🧠 Welcome to another summary recap of our most recent X Space
Main takeaway from the chat: Take action!
We had a great discussion among many speakers on how to start a career in DevRel. This included insights from our own DevRel Uni founder Bianca and reminded us “that all journeys or most of the journeys are different!”
We had speakers from all over the world 🌏 such as Bolivia, India, Nigeria and more. Each perspective highly valuable with their unique beginning proving that there is no one-size-fits-all path to success in this field. Whether you're already a DevRel enthusiast or considering a career shift, this X space will provide you with practical tips to help navigate your own path.
✍️ So take out your note pad and pencil or open your notion to take notes about some tips for starting as a DevRel.
💡Solve a problem. As our speaker Patrick pointed out “it isn't always about who just wrote the fanciest code sometimes it's all about who just solved the biggest problem.” Don't know what to solve? Attend a Hackathon and see what other people are struggling with.
🤝Become a bridge builder and help developers overcome challenges. This can come in various forms such as blogs, videos, twitter posts. Content creation and engaging with others in the field is important.
💫 Showcase your work to make yourself visible. This can be as simple as writing about your experiences and reminding people you exist while creating value.
In general, the speakers emphasized the need for a blend of skills, such as coding, writing, speaking, and communication, to excel in DevRel roles. Please listen to the whole “X” space to hear all the amazing advice from our speakers!
Shoutout to our moderators: Tippi and Jay!
