✨Entrepreneurial Spirit in DevRel:
Ania drew parallels between the role of a developer advocate and an entrepreneur. Her approach involves staying present, embracing change, and aligning efforts with personal interests. This entrepreneurial spirit in DevRel suggests that success not only comes from technical proficiency but also from a mindset that combines creativity and adaptability.
Emmanuel advised aspiring developers to identify gaps in the developer world, become solution providers, and fill those gaps with their own content and ideas, creating a unique specialty.
✨Network Building and Portfolio Development:
Lena revisited the importance of networking in the context of landing a role in Developer Relations. She emphasized that a robust network is often the key to success in the field. Additionally, Lena highlighted the significance of building a comprehensive portfolio, showcasing not only technical skills but also industry recognition through articles and connections within the community.
Lena and Tippi stressed the importance of sharing knowledge, with Tipi noting the value of learning by teaching in programs like Chainlink's certification initiative. This will organically create a network for you while helping newcomers succeed in the space.
Bianca contributed a valuable perspective on the essence of Developer Relations. She described DevRel as not just brainstorming but act on those ideas, emphasizing the role in empowering others and fostering innovation.
In conclusion everyone agreed that the most important tip to become a successful DevRel is to just “Do It!” 🚀🚀
